Reimagining social-first vehicle shopping for the next generation of buyers
I led the concept and UX design for a redesigned Instagram commerce experience for a major automotive brand. With Millennials now the largest group of new car buyers—and one of the most active demographics on Instagram—the goal was to create a frictionless, mobile-first shopping journey that met them in the platforms and behaviors they already rely on. This new approach transformed Instagram from a passive awareness channel into a lifestyle-driven shopping destination where users could explore custom builds, browse local inventory, and personalize vehicles without leaving the app.
The Challenge
The brand wanted a concept that would “wow” them and reaffirm our agency as their long-term partner. While their existing website was functional, it lacked a lifestyle-driven experience that truly engaged users.
We developed a new web experience for both new and returning audiences, presenting a clear vision for personalization, discovery, and interaction that elevated the brand and shaped its marketing conversations.
